Latest company news about Why do we need aging tests

Mainly to test and enhance the reliability, stability and safety of products, conducting aging tests on products has become an important link in the production process of such products. The so-called "aging" refers to the simulation of a high-temperature harsh condition to conduct a long-term full-load test on products (also known as burn-in test or burn-in test), in order to simulate the harsh conditions that may occur during actual use to verify the performance of the products.

The dummy loads used in traditional aging test equipment are mostly high-power resistors, which is the first generation of aging equipment. Its advantages are low cost and simplicity. However, due to the wide variety and specifications of power supply products, the same power supply factory often has many models, and the output specifications of each model are not the same. The impedance and power of the required dummy load are also different. Therefore, the disadvantages of traditional resistance-type aging equipment have become increasingly prominent, mainly manifested as follows:

1,The resistance value of the resistor is fixed, and there are few available specifications. Many need to be specially customized from the resistor manufacturer.

2. The power supply specifications are diverse, and the resistors cannot be precisely matched to the exact current required for aging.

3. The resistance error is large, and it is prone to deviation after temperature rise, making it impossible to ensure 100% load aging of the product.

4. Adjusting the load size requires calculation first. Selecting the load resistance can only obtain an approximate current value.

5. The aging process cannot be automatically monitored and requires manual inspection one by one, which is inefficient and prone to omissions.

6. The parameters of the aging process cannot be recorded, which is not convenient for quality traceability management.

7. It is impossible to generate aging reports, which is not convenient for the analysis and evaluation of product quality.
